Diğer sektörlerde olduğu gibi lojistik sektöründe de işletmelerin başarılı olabilmesi için ürünlerinin kaliteli olması gerekir. Bu kapsamda lojistik sektöründe faaliyet gösteren işletmelerde de Toplam Kalite Yönetimi (TKY) başarılı bir şekilde uygulanabilir. Nitekim, literatürde TKY’ni uygulayan işletmelerin yüksek performans sergilediği ve rekabet üstünlüğü sağladığına dair çok sayıda örnek bulunmaktadır. TKY’nin yönetim liderliği, sürekli iyileştirme, müşteri ve işgören memnuniyeti ile sistem yaklaşımı ve süreç kalitesi olmak üzere dört boyutu bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı TKY’nin alt boyutlarından biri olan sistem yaklaşımı ve süreç kalitesinin işletme performansını ne şekilde etkilediğini ve aralarında anlamlı bir ilişki olup olmadığını tespit etmektir. Araştırma, Mersin ilinde faaliyet gösteren lojistik firmalarında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler bu firmaların farklı pozisyonlarında çalışan, 166 kişiden, basit tesadüfi örneklem yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Çalışmada, Küçük ve arkadaşları (2015)’nın literatür araştırması neticesinde oluşturduğu TKY Ölçeği ile İşletme Performansı Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada öncelikle örneklem ve ölçekler hakkında bilgi verilmiş, değişkenler arası korelasyon tespit edilmiş, müteakiben regresyon analizi ile sistem yaklaşımı ve süreç kalitesi ile işletme performansı arasındaki ilişki araştırılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS ve AMOS programı kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler neticesinde sistem yaklaşımı ve süreç kalitesinin, operasyonel ve yenilik performansını pozitif ve anlamlı yönde etkilediği tespit edilmiştir.

In order to be successful in the logistics sector as in other sectors, the products must be of high quality. In this context, Total Quality Management (TQM) can be applied successfully in the companies operating in logistics sector. As a matter of fact, there are many examples in the literature that companies applying TQM perform well and provide competitive advantage. TQM has four dimensions: management leadership, continuous improvement, customer-employee satisfaction and system approach and process quality. The aim of this study is to determine how system approach and process quality, which is one of the sub-dimensions of TQM, affect business performance and whether there is a significant relationship between them. The research was conducted in logistics companies operating in Mersin. The data were collected from 166 people working in different positions of these firms by convenience sampling. In this present paper, firstly information about samples and scales was given, correlation between variables was determined, and then regression analysis was used to investigate the relationship between system approach and process quality and business performance. SPSS and AMOS program were used for data analysis. As a result of the analyzes, it was determined that system approach and process quality have positive and significant effects on operational and innovation performance.
