Abstract:

This study aims to compare the technology orientation of technical teachers and technical teachers candidates according to certain variables. The research was prepared using the image-survey method. The research work group formed a total of 215 technical teachers from different branches working in different professional-technical high schools in the central districts of Ankara, with a total of 340 students registered in classes 1 and 4 in different departments of the Technical Education Faculty of the University of Gazi. In the study, the scale of attitude towards the technology prepared by Akbaba-Altun (2002) was used, the personal information form and the measurement tool consisting of an open-end 1 question. The cronbach-alfa ratio for the general measurement is calculated as 0.90. I totally agree with the scale respondents in Likert type 5 and I absolutely do not agree with (1) it offers options that vary between. The research data was evaluated with the help of the SPSS-11.5 package program. In this context, visual statistics and independent groups have been tested.At the end of the study, the attitudes of technical teachers working in professional-technical high schools towards technology have been lower than the technical teachers candidates. From the point of view of the branches of teachers and teachers candidates, the attitudes of both teachers and teachers candidates to technology in the electronics and computer branches have emerged at a higher level than other branches. On the other hand, a significant difference in the attitude points for teachers with 10 years and 6 years of attitude is determined, while a significant difference in the attitude points for teachers with 4 years and 6 years of attitude is determined, and a significant difference in the attitude points for teachers with 4 years and 6 years of attitude is determined. In terms of gender and technology, statistically significant differences have been identified in the attitude points for both male teachers and male teachers candidates.Both teachers and teachers candidates have noted that the provision of technology-backed educational and teaching environments will increase their attitude towards technology.
