Abstract:

People's Literature Products are national quotes for children's and youth books. In the direction of reflecting Turkish culture, social life, collective consciousness, folklore products are one of the most important data to be transmitted to future generations. Youth literature, a transition period between child literature and adult literature, is a period where it is important for individuals to meet with qualified literary works because individuals will use the experiences they gain during this period throughout their lifetime. It is necessary that the works of this period reflect the Turkish culture, the folklore objects and meet the expectations of young people. The study was prepared by scanning methods from the ni-cylindrical research models. In the study, Gürsel Korat's first youth novel "The Sunday-Shadow Age" was studied in order to present an example of the use of folklore products in the first youth literature. When the information obtained through the review of the document is evaluated by visual analysis; the fluent narration of this novel, which is wrapped with information from history and mythology, has a fun and educational quality for young readers. Through our folkloric stories, such as fairy tales, legends, stories and many of the motives taken from the shamanism, the work created through the cultural perspective has been shown to be a very rich translation.
