Abstract:

When translation is said, it always comes to translations from another language. But for the development of the language, this translation is sometimes needed in the language itself. Translation is a functional fact. One of the most important functions is to transfer a culture from generation to generation or to introduce a culture according to the norms of the generation. In other words, the translation is dynamic. It brings the old to the new, and sometimes it brings the new to the old. Each work is addressed to the reader of the time in which it was written, but it is necessary to translate the elements written in the old language, which are not included in the word and culture of the reader of today, into the language of today. In this study, first of all, the language translation, which is the result of the Turkish Language Revolution, will be discussed, the language translation will be emphasized as a "re-writing" name, and on the other hand, the different printing of a work will also be a "re-writing" example. In light of the approach that the linguistic translation of different, modified printings, which is carried out in the direction of cultural, ideological, and sometimes individual interests, is a 'creative re-creation', Sabahattin Ali's 1940 printed work "The Devil in Us" is based on the old Turkish words, with the first printing in 1998 by YKY and the 58th in 2019. The differences between the press will be compared in the context of side-methness. Each text is independent, and the language translation will be submitted with examples of re-writing. With the fact that the translation is a dynamic phenomenon that fits social and cultural changes, the examples simplified for the readers of today will try to show the richness of the Turkish language and will try to emphasize the importance of language translation in the Turkish literature and in the culture to live the works of authors with an important place.

One of its most important functions is to transfer culture from generation to generation or to introduce a culture according to the norms of the generation to that generation. In other words, the translation is dynamic. It carries the old to the new and from time to time brings the new to the old. Each work appeals to the reader of the period in which it was written, but it is necessary to translate the elements written in the old language, which are not included in the vocabulary and cultural repertoire of today's reader, into today's language. In this study, firstly, the linguistic translation that emerged as a result of the Turkish Language Revolution will be mentioned; then it will be emphasized that the linguistic translation is a kind of 'rewriting', and finally it will be underlined that different editions of a work are examples of 're-translation'. In the light of the approach that the linguistic translation in different, modified editions, carried out in the direction of cultural, ideological and sometimes individual interests, is 'critical re-creation', the differences between the first edition of YKY published in 1998 and the 58th edition of 2019 will be compared in the context of semi-textuality, based on the old Turkish words in Sabahattin Ali's work titled Satan Inside Us, published in 1940. With the idea that each text is independent, it will be embodied with examples where the linguistic translation is a kind of rewriting. With the fact that translation is a dynamic phenomenon that keeps pace with social and cultural changes, the richness of the Turkish language will be tried to be shown through examples simplified for the easy reception of today's readers, and it will be emphasized that the translation of the linguistic translation is important for keeping the works of authors who have an important place in Turkish literature and culture.
