Turizm sektörü, hizmet odaklı olması sebebiyle teknolojik gelişmelerden uzak gibi algılansa da, aslında söz konusu gelişmelerin tamamından büyük ölçüde etkilenmektedir. Bu gelişmelerin kökeninde tüm endüstri devrimleri bulunması sebebiyle, sektörün yeni Endüstri devriminden etkilenmemesi de mümkün gözükmemektedir. Bu çalışmada, turizm sektöründe teknolojik gelişmelerin etkileri incelenmiştir. Turizm sektöründe gerçekleştirilebilecek teknolojik uygulamalara ışık tutulabilmesi amacıyla, Endüstri 4.0’ı temel alan çeşitli anahtar kelimelerle, ilgili konaklama sektöründe son 20 yılda yapılan araştırmalar incelenmiştir. Araştırmaların, büyük veri, sanal gerçeklik, arttırılmış gerçeklik, turist yönlendirme sistemleri, nesnelerin interneti, sosyal medya ile web sayfalarının analizi ve mobil uygulamalar ile ilgili konularda olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışmalarda kullanılan verilerin genel olarak web sayfalarından veya turistlerin değerlendirmelerinden elde edildiği görülmüştür.
Although the tourism sector is perceived as far from technological developments because it is service-oriented, it is actually largely affected by the whole of these developments. As all industrial revolutions are in the origin of these developments, it seems not possible that the sector will not be affected by the new industrial revolution. In this study, the impact of technological developments in the tourism sector was studied. In order to keep light on the technological applications that can be implemented in the tourism sector, various keywords based on Industry 4.0 have been studied research in the relevant accommodation sector in the last 20 years. The research has been determined on topics related to big data, virtual reality, augmented reality, tourist guiding systems, the internet of objects, social media and web pages analysis and mobile applications. The data used in the studies has been found to be generally obtained from web pages or from tourist reviews.
