Bu araştırma çizgi filmlerde yer alan evrensel değerler ve bu değerlere ne sıklıkta yer verildiğini ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi kullanılmıştır. İncelenecek olan çizgi filme 5 -6 yaş grubundaki 300 çocuğa televizyonda izlemeyi en çok tercih ettikleri çizgi film sorularak karar verilmiştir. Bu kapsamda Vikingler çizgi filmi incelemeye alınmıştır. Doküman incelemesi için ana kategori olarak Unesco’nun yaşayan değerler eğitimi programında yer verilen evrensel değerler olarak kabul edilen işbirliği, mutluluk, dürüstlük, alçakgönüllülük/tevazu, sevgi, barış, saygı, sorumluluk, sadelik, hoşgörü/tolerans, özgürlük ve birlik/dayanışma değerleri seçimiştir. Vikingler çizgi filminin sosyal paylaşım sitesi youtube’de en çok izlenen 20 bölümü bu değer listesi bakımından içerik analizi yöntemiyle derinlemesine incelenmiştir. Sonuçlar Vikingler çizgi filminde sadelik dışındaki tüm evrensel değerlere yer verildiğini göstermiştir. Vikingler çizgi filminde en sık yer verilen değerler sevgi, mutluluk, saygı ve işbirliği iken, en az sıklıkta yer verilen değerler barış, birlik ve özgürlüktür. Çizgi film katakterlerinin izleyenlerini etkilediği ve bu sayede değer kazanımının da etkileneceği düşünülmektedir.
This research was done to reveal the universal values in cartoons and how often these values are placed. Document research methods have been used. The cartoon that will be reviewed was decided by asking 300 children of the 5-6 years of age to watch on television the cartoon they prefer to watch. In this context, the Vikings were taken to study the cartoon. The main categories for the document review are cooperation, happiness, honesty, humility, love, peace, respect, responsibility, simplicity, tolerance, freedom and unity. The 20 most watched episodes of the Viking cartoon social sharing site on youtube have been thoroughly studied with the method of content analysis in terms of this value list. The results showed that the Vikings cartoon included all the universal values except the simplicity. The Vikings are the most frequently recorded values in the cartoon: love, happiness, respect and cooperation, while the least frequently recorded values are peace, unity and freedom. It is believed that the cartoon cataclysms will affect the viewers and thus will also be influenced by the gain of value.
