Zihinsel yetersizliği olan çocukların, normal gelişim gösteren çocuklara göre daha fazla fiziksel ve ruhsal problem yaşadığı bilinmektedir. Yalnızlık ve toplumdan dışlanma, yaşanan bu problemlerin sıklığı ve şiddetini arttırabilmektedir. Bu nedenle yalnızlık düzeylerinin ve buna neden olan faktörlerin belirlenmesi, zihinsel yetersizliği olan çocukların ruhsal problemler yaşamasını önleyebilmek açısından oldukça önemlidir. Yapılan bu çalışmada da kaynaştırma eğitimi ve özel eğitim sınıfında eğitim görmekte olan hafif düzey entelektüel yeti yitimi olan çocuklar ile normal gelişim gösteren çocukların yalnızlık düzeylerini incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla yürütülen çalışmada 2016 – 2017 eğitim öğretim yılında İstanbul ili çeşitli ilçelerinde 5,6,7 ve 8. Sınıfta eğitimine devam eden normal gelişim gösteren çocuklar ile, yine aynı okullarda hafif düzey zihinsel yetersizliği olan kaynaştırma öğrencileri ve özel eğitim sınıfındaki öğrenciler olmak üzere toplam 272 öğrenciye ulaşılmıştır. Öğrencilerin yalnızlık düzeyleri, kardeş sayısı ve yakın arkadaş sayısına ilişkin bilgiler alınmıştır. Sonuçta kaynaştırma sınıfı öğrencilerinin hem özel eğitim sınıfı öğrencileri hem de normal gelişim gösteren öğrencilerden daha yüksek düzeyde yalnızlık deneyimledikleri görülmüştür. Kaynaştırma eğitiminin amacına ulaşması için okul temelli yalnızlık duygusunun önüne geçmeye yönelik tedbirler alınması gerektiği düşünülmüştür.
It is known that children with mental disability experience more physical and mental problems than children with normal development. Solitude and exclusion from society can increase the frequency and severity of these problems. Therefore, determining the levels of loneliness and the factors that cause it is very important in order to prevent children with mental disability from experiencing mental problems. This study also aims to study the levels of loneliness of children with a slight level of intellectual education loss and normal development in the coaching education and special education classes. In the study carried out for this purpose in 2016 - 2017 educational year in Istanbul in various districts of 5,6,7 and 8. With the normal development of children continuing to study in the classroom, a total of 272 students were reached in the same schools, including cutting-edge students with a slight level of mental disability and students in the private education class.
