Dünya’da doğal kaynakların sınırsız olmadığı ve bu kaynakların dikkatli kullanılmadığı takdirde tükeneceği şüphesizdir. Kaynak israfının önlenmesi, tüketimin bilinçli yapılması ve beşikten beşiğe anlayışın benimsenmesi gibi sebepler sonucunda ortaya çıkan sürdürülebilirlik kavramı; çevre, ekonomi, sosyo-politik gibi birçok alanı kapsayan ve yaşamın her alanını yakından etkileyen küresel bir kavram haline gelmiştir. Dünya’da hızla büyüyen ekolojik ayak izi sürdürülebilirlik kavramının önemini her geçen gün hatırlatmaktadır. Özellikle de dünya genelinde yaşanan pandemi dönemi ve sonrası birçok alanda sürdürülebilir çalışmaların hız kazandığı görülmektedir. Moda endüstrisi kullanıcılara yönelik üretim yapan, bir endüstridir. Post-pandemi olarak adlandırılan pandemi sonrası dönem her alanda olduğu gibi moda endüstrisini de etkilemiş ve bu yeni duruma ayak uydurmak için tasarım ve üretimde sürdürülebilirliğe yönelik yaklaşımlar birçok moda firması tarafından benimsenmeye başlanmıştır. Betimsel tarama yöntemine dayalı bu çalışma ekseninde; moda endüstrisinde sürdürülebilirlik kavramının önemini ortaya koymak amacıyla post-pandemi döneminde moda endüstrisinde sürdürülebilirliğe yönelik yaklaşımların neler olduğu incelenerek açıklanmaya çalışılmış ve sürdürülebilir kavramının moda endüstrisi için önem teşkil ettiği ortaya çıkmıştır.
It is undoubted that natural resources on Earth are unlimited and will be exhausted if these resources are not used carefully. The concept of sustainability that arises as a result of reasons such as the prevention of resource waste, conscious consumption and the adoption of understanding from five to five; has become a global concept that covers many areas such as environment, economy, socio-politics and has a close impact on every field of life. The rapidly growing ecological footprint on Earth reminds us every day of the importance of the concept of sustainability. Especially in the period of pandemic worldwide and after it, sustainable studies are accelerated. The fashion industry is a industry that produces for users. The post-pandemic period, called the post-pandemic period, has affected the fashion industry as well as in all areas, and the approaches to sustainability in design and production have begun to be adopted by many fashion companies to adapt to this new situation. In this study, based on the visual scan method, it has been shown that the importance of the concept of sustainability in the fashion industry has been explained by studying what the approaches to sustainability in the fashion industry in the post-pandemic period and the importance of the concept of sustainability for the fashion industry.
