Uighur Turks, whose cultural life was very well-endowed, didn’t contain with just writing literary and religious novels for having political, cultural and economical relationships with primarily the Chinese, Hindus, Tibetans and other nations living on the Western Territories and translated numerous number of literary work written by their neighbors and religions that they have gotten involved in into their own language for being involved in different belief worlds such as Manichaeism, Buddhism and Islam and had significant number of important literary work translated into other languages. When related sources are analyzed; it is understood that Uyghur Turks paid very much regard to religious and literary translations in their translation activities and they also produced, although in limited amount according to others, valuable translations on areas of medicine and history. An attempt has been made to review and evaluate translating activities of Uyghur Turks on areas of Buddhism, Manichaeism, Nestorians, medicine, literature and history in light of resources and research articles in this short research study
