Covid-19 Krizinin Sağlık Sektöründe Faaliyet Gösteren İşletmeler Üzerindeki Etkileri

Abstract:

Bu çalışmada, Covid-19 pandemisinin sağlık sektöründe faaliyet gösteren eczane, veteriner ve optisyen firmalarının üzerindeki ekonomik ve sosyal etkileri incelenmiştir. Araştırmada, nitel ve nicel araştırma yöntemlerinin birlikte kullanıldığı karma araştırma desenlerinden açımlayıcı sıralı karma yöntem deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel boyutunda betimsel tarama modeli, nitel boyutunda genel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Nicel araştırma örneklemi küme örnekleme tekniği ile belirlenmiş 300 firmadan oluşmuştur. Nitel örneklemi ise araştırmanın nicel boyutuna katılan firmalar arasından amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak belirlenmiş olan 11 firmadan oluşmuştur. Araştırma verileri, gönüllülük esasına dayalı olarak uygulanan anket formları kullanılarak ve yüz yüze mülakat tekniği ile elde edilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre, sağlık sektöründe faaliyet gösteren araştırmaya konu olan firmalar pandemi döneminde ekonomik olarak olumsuz etkilenmiştir. Satış ve gelirleri %50 ve daha fazla oranda artmış, fakat sabit işletme giderlerinde bir azalma olmamıştır. Firmalar iş sağlığı ve güvenliği önlemlerine azami derecede riayet etmektedirler. Firmalar faydalandığı destek ve yardımlar ile istihdam seviyelerini koruyarak hizmetlerine devam etmektedirler. Firmaların sağlık hizmeti sunumlarına devam etmeleri pandemi ile mücadele için gerekli bir durumdur. Bu sebeple sektör özelinde destek ve yardımların sağlanması pandemi ile mücadelede başarı için gerekli ve önemlidir.

The Impact of Covid-19 Crisis on Businesses Operating in the Health Sector

Abstract:

This study examined the economic and social effects of Covid-19 pandemic on pharmacies, veterinarians and optics companies operating in the health sector. In the research, the distinctive order of the karma method design was used from the karma research patterns where the qualitative and quantitative research methods were used together. The quantial scan model of the study has been used, the quantial scan model has been used. The Nicel research sampling consists of 300 companies identified by the mass sampling technique. The quality sampling was made up of 11 companies that were determined using the purpose sampling method among the companies involved in the quantum size of the research. The research data was obtained using survey forms applied based on the essence of volunteering and with the face-to-face interview technique. According to the findings obtained from the research, companies that are subject to research in the health sector have been economically affected during the pandemic period. Sales and revenue increased by 50% or more, but there was no decrease in fixed operating costs. Companies comply with health and safety measures at work. Companies continue to provide support and support for their employment levels and maintain their services. The company’s continuation of health care offerings is a necessary situation to fight the pandemic. Therefore, providing support and assistance in the sector is necessary and important for success in the fight against pandemic.

In the study, exploratory sequential mixed method design, which is among mixed research designs in which qualitative and quantitative research methods run together, is utilized. In quantitative dimension of study, descriptive scanning model is used, and in qualitative dimension, general scanning model is used. Quantitative research sample consisted of 300 firms determined by cluster sampling technique. Qualitative sample, on the other hand, consists of 11 firms that are selected using purposeful sampling among firms participating in quantitative dimension. Research data is obtained by using questionnaire forms applied on a voluntary basis and by face to face interview technique. According to findings obtained from research, companies that are subject to research operating in health sector are negatively affected economically during pandemic period. Sales and revenues increase by 50% or more, but there is no reduction in fixed operating expenses. Firms obey occupational health and safety measures to the maximum extent. Firms continue their services by maintaining their employment levels with the support and assistance they benefit. It is a necessary condition for companies to continue their health services to struggle pandemic. For this reason, providing industry-specific support and assistance is necessary and important for success in the struggle against the pandemic.
