Abstract:

The theory of ecological systems claims that human behavior is evolved as a result of interaction with the factors surrounding it. In this regard, the impact of environmental factors within the ecological structure on the teaching leadership behaviors of school managers has been significant. Therefore, the research aims to determine the environmental factors that influence the teaching leadership behavior of school managers and the place of these factors in the ecological systems theory framework. When determining environmental factors, the views of the school directors have been taken into account and the phenomenological model has been adopted from the quality approaches. The work group was formed by 15 school directors working in the different stages of state schools located in the provinces of Gaziantep, Şahinbey and Şehitkamil during the 2020-2021 educational year. The work group is determined by the purpose sample method. The data was obtained through the semi-configured interview form that the researcher prepared. The research was obtained with the necessary approval from the Social and Human Sciences Ethics Council of the University of Gaziantep on 04.02.2021 date and resolution number 12215. The study was carried out by the researchers in the field of education and education ( Identifying the school's mission, managing teaching programs, creating a positive learning climate) The answers obtained by asking what the influencing factors are and how they affect are solved by the "betimical analysis" and "content analysis" techniques. According to the study, the behavior of the school managers, Insufficient budget in targeting, the impact of popular culture on student expectations by VB. There are 22 environmental factors that are affected. 10 of these factors have been determined in the microsystems of the school directors, 3 in the mesosystems, 6 in the exosystems, 3 in the macrosystems. There were no factors in the chronosystems. In this regard, the research suggested the understanding and development of educational leadership behaviors of school managers in the context of the environmental systems surrounding them.
