Abstract:

Social media is of great importance for institutions that, along with technological developments, are trying to follow the ever-developing digital world and want to follow the innovations closely. Social media, which, thanks to its speed and wide scope of influence, provides countless added value to the institutions, is an important part of the institutions. Every day, the importance of social media for institutions that is discovering a new function is increasing. However, social media carries significant risks due to its structural characteristics. If social media risks are not properly managed, they pose a serious danger to the institutions. In the management of social media risks, which is an important threat element for institutions, internal supervision has significant responsibilities. This study describes the responsibilities of the internal supervision on social media.
