Matematiksel bilimler kapsamında manzum yazılmış eserlerin ne yoğunlukta kullanıldığı kesin olarak bilinmemekle beraber, İslam medeniyetinin tedris geleneğinde manzum eserlerin mektepten medreseye tüm eğitim kademelerinde kullanıldığına dair, günümüze kadar ulaşan çok sayıda örnek bulunmaktadır. Genel olarak edebi bilimlerde kullanılan şiirsel anlatım yönteminin, İslam medeniyetinde matematiksel bilimler yanında tıp ve eczacılık dallarında da didaktik kaygılarla yoğun olarak kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışmamızda bu alandaki önemli örneklerden birini teşkil eden, 16.yüzyıl Osmanlı astronomi âlimlerinden Takiyüddîn er-Râsıd’ın gözlem ve hesaplama işlemlerinde yoğunlukla başvurulan rub’u tahtasının kullanımına dair kaleme almış olduğu Urcuze li’l-Ceyb ve’d-Darb ve’l-Kısme başlıklı manzumenin temel matematik işlemlerine ilişkin kısmı incelenmiştir. Güneş saatinin mermer yüzeyler üzerine çizimine ilişkin Reyhanetü’r-Rûh adlı eserinin içerisinde yer alan ve türünün ilk örneği olduğunu düşündüğümüz, 13 beyitten oluşan bu metnin 3 nüshası günümüze ulaşmıştır. Biz burada Süleymaniye Kütüphanesi’nin (İstanbul) Esad Efendi koleksiyonundaki nüshayı inceleyerek konuyu açıklamaya çalıştık.
Although it is unknown exactly in what intensity the manuscript works are used within the scope of mathematical sciences, there are many examples that have reached to the present day that the manuscript works are used in all educational stages from mektup to medrese in the tradition of Islamic civilization. In general, the poetic narrative method used in literary sciences is seen to be widely used in the Islamic civilization, in addition to mathematical sciences, in the fields of medicine and pharmacy, with didactic concerns. This is one of the most important examples in this field. From the Ottoman astronomers of the century Takiyuddin er-Râsıd's observation and calculation processes intensely applied rub'u table's use has been studied the part of the basic mathematical processes of the manuscript titled Urcuze li'l-Ceyb and'd-Darb and'l-Kısme. In the work of Reyhanetü'r-Rûh on the drawing of the sun's clock on marble surfaces and we think it's the first example of the species, this text consisting of 13 beams has reached today. Here we tried to explain the issue by studying the noise in the Assad Efendi collection of the Suleimaniye Library (Istanbul).
Although exactly how intensely works written in verse had been used within the scope of mathematical sciences is unknown, many surviving examples of verse works are found that point to them having been used at all education levels in the teaching tradition of Islamic civilization, from early schooling to madrasahs. The poetic expression method was fairly common in the literary sciences and is seen to have been used intensively in Islamic civilization for didactic purposes within the mathematical sciences, as well as in medicine and pharmacy. One important example of such poems was written by Taqi-al-Din al-Rasıd, a 16th-century Ottoman astronomer. His poem explains basic mathematical operations and is titled Urcuze li’l-Ceyb ve’d-Darb ve’l-Kısme. It is also part of his larger work Rayhanat al-Ruh and accounts for the use of the quadrant (rub’u). This instrument was used extensively in observation and calculation processes. This poem consists of 13 couplets and this study believes it to be the first of its kind, with three copies having survived to the present day. This study attempts to introduce and analyze the text based on the copy kept in the Esad Efendi collection of the Süleymaniye Library in Istanbul.
