In Divan literature, ghazal has been studied under different subheadings, based on some of its features. One of these titles is also a müzeyyel ghazal. Müzeyyel ghazal is a name given to a ghazal according to the appellative verse. After telling his pseudonym, the poet does not complete his ghazal and, adds one or more couplets. In these couplets the sultan of the time, a statesman or religious leader is praised. The added couplets are called zeyl, and such ghazals are called müzeyyel ghazal. The couplets added in the müzeyyel ghazals have features such as praise, fahriye (self-praising poem) and prayer, while the couplets before the pseudonym verses resemble nesib or tegazzül has approached this type of ghazal to the eulogy. For this reason, there are very close relations between the arrangement of the ghazals and the eulogy in terms of form and content. In this study, 19 müzeyyel ghazal in Şeyhülislam Yahyas divan were examined in terms of form properties. The relation between verses which were added to the ghazal after telling the poets pseudonym, and the features of the entire gazelle are conveyed in the context of the eulogy. Considering by taking into account the idea that müzeyyel ghazals could be evaluated in the context of the poet-patron relationship, Yahyas müzeyyel ghazals were dealt with in terms of the relevance between poets and patrons.
