Abstract:

Since humanity has been presenting a scientific approach in order to understand its existence, life and nature, and sometimes it has interpreted the subjects which it can’t understand in any way, whether or not, with fear and disappointment, by linking a supernatural power to faith. This belief and direction includes feelings and desires such as fear of hidden powers, happiness, future learning, while some of them are referred to religious sources, and some are trace of nature and supernatural characteristics. There are many kinds of beliefs and practices that have a distinct importance between Nazar and happiness and contain important information on many subjects in its essence. In this scope, our work evaluates the reflections of the beliefs and practices related to Nazar and happiness in terms of public science and cultural values in the area of Bingöl and Tunceli in the Shafi and Alevians. In addition to written sources, field research and collections are also used by verbal sources. In the beliefs concerning Nazar and happiness, along with the Islamic characteristics, it is seen that the different beliefs and rituals of the pre-Islam periods that are active in the region and their roots are followed by the pagan beliefs and ancestors of the cult that extends to the pre-Semavi religions. Specifically in the Alevians attracted Shamanism, Yaresan and Zerdüşt assembly is also found that both Alevians and Shafians, along with the Islamic religion, and other semavian religions such as Musevism and Christianity, are reflected even with some changes and transformations. Today, many beliefs and practices are weakened in terms of the past periods, but still exist.
