COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) virüsünün yayılımı Türkiye’de her alanı etkilediği gibi kent içi ulaşım dinamiklerini de etkilemiştir. Bu nedenle bu çalışma, virüsün yayılımdan en çok etkilenen İstanbul ilinde kent içi hareketliliğinin hükümetin aldığı tedbirler ve değişen kişisel ulaşım davranışları ile 11 Mart- 30 Haziran aralığında nasıl etkilendiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında istatistiki veriler birincil kaynak olarak kullanılmakta ve kullanıcı davranış tutumu anketi ile desteklenmektedir. Bu çalışma, kamu sağlığını tehdit eden bir virüsle mücadele sürecinde toplu ulaşım kullanıcı davranışlarının hükümet tarafından alınan tedbirler, tavsiyeler ve bunlara ek olarak kişisel tedbirler ile nasıl bir değişim geçirdiğini ve bunun toplu ulaşım kullanımını nasıl etkilediğini ortaya koymaktadır. Kullanıcı anketlerine göre, COVID-19 pandemisi süresince sosyal mesafe, maske kullanımı, ulaşım araçlarının dezenfekte edilmesi gibi tedbirler alınmasına rağmen toplu ulaşımın pandemi öncesine göre daha az tercih edildiği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, özel araç sahipliliğinin ve ev-iş arası mesafesine bağlı olarak toplu ulaşım kullanımında toplu ulaşım yerine alternatif yollar tercih ettiği verisine ulaşılmıştır.
The spread of the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) virus has affected urban transport dynamics as it affects every area in Turkey. Therefore, this study shows how the urban mobility in the province of Istanbul, which is most affected by the spread of the virus, has been affected by the measures taken by the government and the changing personal transport behavior between 11 March and 30 June. In the framework of the study, statistical data is used as a primary source and is supported by the user behavior survey. The spread of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) virus has affected every aspect of daily life in Turkey, included inner-city public transport. Istanbul is the most affected city by the spread of the virus. Therefore, this study reveals how urban mobility in Istanbul is affected by the measures taken by the government and behavioural change of public transport users between March 11 and June 30. In this study, statistical data was used as the primary source and it is supported by a user behaviour questionnaire. The study shows how public transport user behaviour has changed with the Turkish government’s measures and recommendations, and personal protective measures, and how these affected public transport use in the city. As a result of the surveys, public transportation is less preferred than before the pandemic, even though the measures such as social distancing, use of masks, and disinfection of transportation vehicles. In addition, commuters have preferred alternative ways to public transport depending on the ownership of private vehicles and the distance between home and work.
