Introduction: The ballet is a dance that requires a lot of joints and ankle in end position, which can change its amplitude, through repeated microtrauma joint and muscle, forming the trigger point (TP). Objective: To compare the dorsiflexion range of motion (ROM) of the ankle after application of Thrush in the ankle joint and trigger point release to the tibialis anterior and soleus musclesin dancers. Materials and Methods: This is a randomized clinical trial, performed in dance schools that had the classic ballet mode. Thirty dancers were collected and divided into two equal groups. A group A,thrust technique and group B, referring to the trigger point release technique in tibialis anterior and soleus. Results: Left Ankle evaluated after the technical group on the trigger point passively (13.67%) and right ankle after actively thrust technique(11.87%). Discussion: One study found that the pointe shoe generates greater impact on the body, increasing the risk of injury. Another author said the TP reduces ROM. Conclusion: Both techniques are effective to gain ROM, however the release of trigger point in the tibialis anterior and soleus obtained the highest result.
