Kentsel peyzajlar, sahip oldukları değerler ile insanlar tarafından farklı şekilde algılanırlar. Algılama sonucu oluşan değerlendirmeler, kişilerin çevresel tercihlerini etkileyerek, planlama ve tasarım süreçlerinde de yol gösterici olmaktadır. Bu kapsamda çalışmada görsel algıya dayalı olarak geliştirilen yöntem ile peyzaja ilişkin mekân tercihlerinin belirlenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bu amaçla İstanbul Topkapı Şehir Parkı örneğinde, uzman ve kullanıcıların algılarına dayalı olarak görsel yönden çekicilik gösteren alanlar tanımlanmıştır. Yöntem çerçevesinde, Topkapı Şehir Parkı’nın farklı noktalarını içeren 43 adet fotoğraf 8 adet parametre (doğallık, uyum, bakım, sadelik, heyecan vericilik, düzen, güven ve manzara güzelliği) temelinde Likert ölçeği kullanılarak uzman ve kullanıcılara dayalı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Değerlendirmeler, tanımlayıcı istatistikler (% değer, aritmetik ortalama ve standart sapma) çerçevesinde yorumlanmış ve elde edilen bulgular sonucunda görsel yönden çekicilik gösteren alanlar tanımlanmıştır. Değerlendirmeler sonucunda, görüntülere ilişkin olarak mekânsal karakteristikler açısından bitkisel düzenlemelerin ön planda olduğu, doğal ve yapay peyzaj elemanlarının uyumlu ve düzenli bir şekilde bulunarak, manzara üstünlüğü gösteren alanlar tercih edilmiştir.
Urban landscapes are perceived differently by people with the values they have. The assessments resulting from the detection influence the environmental preferences of individuals and are also a guide in the planning and design processes. In this scope, the study is aimed at determining the place preferences related to the landscape and the method developed based on visual perception. For this purpose, in the example of Istanbul Topkapı City Park, areas that are visually attractive based on the perceptions of experts and users are defined. In the framework of the method, 43 photographs containing the different points of Topkapı City Park; 8 parameters (naturality, compatibility, maintenance, simplicity, exciting, order, confidence and the beauty of the landscape) were assessed as expert and user-based using the Likert scale. The assessments are interpreted in the framework of identificative statistics (% value, arithmetic average and standard deviation) and the results of the findings are defined by the fields that are visually attractive. As a result of the evaluations, in terms of the spatial characteristics of the images, areas with landscape superiority were preferred, with plant arrangements in the forefront, the natural and artificial landscape elements in a harmonious and regular way.

In this context, it is aimed to determine the spatial preferences of the landscape with the method developed based on visual perception. For this purpose, areas that have visual appeal have been identified based on the perceptions of experts and users in the example of Topkapı City Park. 43 photographs from different points of Topkapı City Park were evaluated by experts and users using Likert scale based on 8 parameters (naturalness, harmony, maintenance, simplicity, excitement, order, trust and beauty of the landscape) withing the framework of the method. Evaluations were interpreted within the framework of descriptive statistics (% value, arithmetic mean and standard deviation) and the areas that showed visual appeal were identified as a result of the findings. As a result of the evaluations, regarding the spatial characteristics of the images, it is found that vegetal arrangements are at the forefront, areas which have natural and artificial landscape elements in harmony and order and which display landscape superiority are preferred.
