Abstract:

According to Piaget, language development is parallel to cognitive development. Since the top stage of the stage of cognitive development is the period of abstract processes and this period covers students in the second stage, Turkish teachers need to evaluate this period very well. During this period, when the stage of development of abstract processes is ignored, the language that will be used throughout life will be missing and defective. A person who does not understand a phrase, who cannot express himself, experiences a constant conflict of communication with other individuals in society. To avoid this problem in Turkish language education, while processing texts in accordance with the student's level, the activities and practices related to the period of abstract processes should be paid attention. In this study, "analogical thinking" in the period of abstract processes has been addressed alone, and the importance of the emotions and thoughts in the 18 stories of Refik Halid Karay, which have been gathered under the name of Country Stories, through comparisons, the expression in terms of the language development of the Turkish language education has been asked to be attracted. The research has found that the known analogy method used mostly in science can also be used in Turkish language courses. In this study, the method of historical analysis was used.
