2. Dünya Savaşı döneminde birçok kesim tarafından eleştirilen başta Milli Korunma Kanunu olmak üzere, varlık vergisi gibi iktisadi uygulamalara başvurulmuştur. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, Türkiye’de, Cumhuriyetin kuruluşundan, 2. Dünya Savaşı’nın sonuna kadar olan süreçte uygulanan iktisadi uygulamaların başarı düzeyini araştırmak ve iktisat politikasının dinamizmini ortaya koymak ve bunun yanında 2. Dünya Savaşı sırasında Türkiye Ekonomisinin durumunu makro ekonomik göstergeler çerçevesinde özetlemektir.
