Abstract:

Qualified children's books are the tools that introduce the word existence of the motherhood, their rules to the children, the possibilities of narration, and the language use objects that they can tell the children with an appropriate approach to the language development and the meaning universes. There are a number of criteria adopted in the field in the summer, which should be supported by the works prepared for children. In this study, the 10 children's books (Câbir bin Hayyan, Hârizmî, Bîrûnî, Ibni Sina, Cezerî, Akşemseddin, Ali Kuşçu, Pîrî Reis, Mimar Sinan, Erzurumlu Ibrahim Hakkı) included in the series of great Turkish scientists, were studied from the basic principles of children's literature in terms of language and narrative. The research was carried out by the method of document examination from the quality research methods. The book is based on the method of examination of the document. All of the 10 books in the series are studied separately from the interior characteristics of children’s books in terms of language and narrative. In the study, the data was analyzed by a visual method. The review found that books generally had positive characteristics in terms of language and narrative. In the works in the series, the sentences are regular, short and simple. A smooth language was used in the works. Ismael Bilgin, in the series of Great Turkish Scientists, used twilings, phrases often. The words are rarely spoken. In the books reviewed, the author has kept unknown words in a certain level in the books. The meaning of the words he thinks the child reader doesn’t know the meaning of, sometimes when he’s mentioned in parantez immediately after using the word, sometimes he has fallen down.
