Uzaktan Eğitim Uygulamalarına İlişkin Öğretmen Görüşleri: Ölçek Çalışması

Abstract:

Eğitim alanında öğretmenlerin teknolojiyi takip etmesi, kişisel ve mesleki gelişimlerinde uzaktan eğitim araçlarını etkin kullanması önemli görülmektedir. Bu kapsamda öğretmenlerin uzaktan eğitim uygulamalarına ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemek için ölçek geliştirme çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Madde belirleme aşamasında alan uzmanı olan 1 öğretim üyesinden ve 3 uzmandan görüş alınmıştır. 26 maddeden oluşan madde havuzu ile ön uygulama yapılmıştır. Araştırma için 28/08/2020-E.55315 tarih ve sayı ile İnönü Üniversitesi Bilimsel Araştırma ve Yayın Etiği Kurulundan gerekli izin alınmıştır. Ölçek maddeleri, 5’ li likert tipindedir ve katılımcıların maddelere katılma dereceleri sınıflandırılmıştır. Özel olarak geliştirilen uzaktan eğitim değerlendirme ölçeği, 600 öğretmen ve okul yöneticisine uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın yapı geçerliği, kapsam geçerliği, madde-toplam korelasyon katsayısı, Cronbach Alpha katsayısı, test-tekrar test korelasyon katsayısı belirlenmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda uzaktan eğitim değerlendirme ölçeği, 15 madde ve iki boyuttan oluşmuştur. Boyutların madde-toplam korelasyon katsayıları “.55” ile “.87” arasında, iç tutarlık (Cronbach Alpha) katsayısı ise “.96” ile “.89” arasında değer almaktadır. Uzaktan Eğitim Değerlendirme Ölçeği (UEDÖ) ile öğretmen ve okul yöneticilerinin katıldıkları veya düzenledikleri eğitimlerin değerlendirilmesine yönelik geliştirilmiş olup, bu ölçeğin uzaktan eğitimlerin değerlendirilmesinde geçerlik ve güvenirlik düzeylerinin yeterli olduğu ifade edilebilir. Öğretmen ve okul yöneticilerinin uzaktan eğitim sürecinde katıldıkları veya düzenledikleri eğitimlerin değerlendirilmesi ve bu kapsamda araştırmaların yapılması eğitimini niteliği noktasında alan yazına katkı sağlayacaktır.

Abstract:

It is important that teachers in the field of education follow the technology and use the tools of distance learning effectively in their personal and professional development. In this context, scale development studies have been carried out to determine teachers’ views on the practices of distance learning. The study was carried out by 1 faculty member and 3 experts. It was made up of 26 materials composed of the basin. 28/08/2020-E.55315 date and number for the study was required by the Institute of Scientific Research and Publishing Ethics of the University of Inönü. The scale materials are in the 5' liqueur type and the participant's degree of participation in the materials is classified. The specifically developed distance education evaluation scale is applied to 600 teachers and school managers. The study’s structural validity, scope validity, substance-totally correlation ratio, Cronbach Alpha ratio, test-to-test correlation ratio have been determined. The analysis resulted in the scale of distance learning, 15 matters and two dimensions. The matter-total correlation ratio of dimensions is between ".55" and ".87", while the internal consistency ratio (Cronbach Alpha) is between ".96" and ".89". The Distance Education Assessment Measure (UEDO) and the teachers and school managers are developed to evaluate the training they participate or organize, and this scale can be stated that the validity and reliability levels are sufficient in the evaluation of distance education. The evaluation of the training that teachers and school managers participate or organize in the distance learning process and the conduct of research in this context will contribute to the field writing in the character of the training.

In the field of education, it is essential for teachers to catch up technology and to use distance education tools effectively in their personal and professional development. In this sense, scale development studies have been carried out to determine teachers' opinions on distance education applications. Opinions from 1 faculty member who is a field expert and 3 experts have been taken during the item determination phase. A pre-application has been carried out with an item pool consisting of 26 items.
For the research, the necessary permission was obtained from the Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Board of Inonu University with the date and number of 28/08/2020-E.55315. The items in the scale are formed in a five-point Likert scale and the level of participation of individuals in the items has been classified. Distance education evaluation scale which is developed specifically have been applied to 600 teachers and school administrators. Structure validity, content validity, coefficient of total correlation of items, Cronbach Alpha coefficient and test-retest correlation coefficient of the study have been determined. As a result of these analyzes, the distance education evaluation scale consists of two dimensions and 15 items. The item-total correlation coefficients of the factors are between ".55" and ".87", and the internal consistency coefficient (Cronbach Alpha) is between ".96" and ".89".The Distance Education Evaluation Scale was developed to evaluate the trainings attended or organized by teachers and school administrators, and it can be stated that the validity and reliability levels of this scale are sufficient in the evaluation of distance education. Evaluation of the trainings that teachers and school administrators have attended or organized in the distance education process and researches conducted in this context will contribute to the literature in terms of the quality of the education.
