Abstract:

This study aims to examine the opinions of pre-service teachers in the preschool and classroom teaching programs on the use of the muzogram technique in music education. The research was conducted using the case study design, which is one of the qualitative research methods, and 40 pre-service teachers who are enrolled in the preschool and classroom teaching program at Near East University were determined as the study group. The data were collected through a structured interview form prepared by the researchers. The obtained data were analyzed using content analysis, one of the qualitative analysis methods. As a result of the research, it was found that the muzogram technique is related to effective listening, perception of differences in melody and rhythm, ability to use different symbols, ability to create shapes in rhyth, and imagination. In addition, it was determined that it is a significant method that will develop students’ creativity and musical knowledge, according to the common opinions of the pre-service teachers.
