Abstract:

In Turkey in the period 1923-1945 the political life shows a single party character. Turkey, which did not enter the Second World War in the years 1939-1945, had faced a number of negatives brought by the war during the war process or after the war. These disadvantages have created a compulsory impact on the multi-party life on the power by the influence of external and internal factors. In Turkey, when it was prepared to take steps to move into a multi-party life with the force of internal and external conditions, Nuri Demirağ established the National Development Party. The party has not shown an effective existence in our political life, but has made a significant contribution to the establishment of its party, the establishment of the culture of democracy and the transitional period of multi-party life. Despite all the efforts of Nuri Demirağ as the party's founder and chairman, the end of the party's confusion and the assessment of the party's activities from the wrong points have led to the party's disintegration in political life. In 1957 the presence of the National Development Party in our political life, due to the failure of the party council to meet on the death of party chairman Nuri Demirağ, ended without a voice. My work is aimed at addressing the political influence of the National Development Party, which stands at an important point in the name of the democratization process in our political life, and to contribute to literature with the aim of revealing the role of the founder Nuri Demirağ in the process.
