The aim of this study is to examine the sub-departments of musicology education in Turkey in terms of university, unit, department, quota and academicians and to present their existing structures. The case study model was used in this research conducted by qualitative research method. Previous studies on the subject of the study have been examined and the data obtained from the websites of the official institutions were interpreted by using the frequency and percentage values. As a result, it was found that musicology education is offered in 19 different universities and 22 sub-departments in Turkey, the quotas of programs offering musicology education vary between 10 and 40, musicology programs are divided into 4 units as Conservatory, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Music Sciences and Technology, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, musicology education programs has 3 different department names Musicology, Music and Music Sciences, the sub-departments are named 4 different titles as Musicology, Music Sciences, General Musicology and Ethnomusicology and Folklore, of the academicians involved in the sub-departments; 11,1% are professors, 14,6% are associate professors, 29,9% are assistant professors, 26,4% are lecturers and 18,1% are research assistants.
