Abstract:

Turkish language has become written extending from Japanese Sea to interiors of Europe with its historical profoundness and geographical extensity beginning from 7th century to today. Unfortunately, up until now it has not been possible to show the vocabulary of Turkish language that is spoken with this historical profoundness and geographical extensity in its entirety. One of the most important reasons for this is the scarcity of the works that belongs to 14th century and before. Today, when the studies on the knowledge about Turkology go incessantly, every new manuscript that has been uncovered and added to the available literature is of great importance for the Turkish vocabulary studies. One of these works is Koran Translations of Mashhad Manuscript, which has been introduced to scientific area by us. The topic of this essay comprises of the words witnessed in the Mashhad Manuscripts including awuçmaķ, çıpuķ, ımġurt-, ilekle-, ķapġaķlamaķ, kömerlemiş, yađġın and yata-.
