Bu çalışma, Şanlıurfa yöresinde yerli ırk koyun ve keçi sürülerinde mavidil virus (Bluetongue Virus, BTV) enfeksiyonunun serolojik olarak araştırılması amacıyla yapıldı. Bu amaçla, 18 farklı sürüden alınan 535 serum örneği agar jel immunodiffüzyon (AGID) testi ile incelendi. Yapılan incelemede, 8 keçi ve 10 koyun sürüsünün tamamında seropozitif hayvan varlığı belirlendi. Sürülerdeki seropozitifliğin koyun ve keçi sürülerinde sırasıyla %76,19-%100 ve %69,23-%95,24 arasında değişiklik gösterdiği tespit edildi. Çalışmada elde edilen veriler ile, Şanlıurfa yöresindeki yerli ırk koyun ve keçi sürülerinde mavidil enfeksiyonunun yaygın olduğu ortaya konuldu.
This study was carried out with the aim of serologically investigating the infection of the bluetongue virus (BTV) in the town of Sanlıurfa and cattle breeds. For this purpose, 535 serum samples taken from 18 different sets were examined by the agar gel immunodiffusion (AGID) test. In the study, 8 sheep and 10 sheep cattle were identified as seropositive. Seropositivity in cows and goats varied between 76.19-100% and 69.23-95.24% respectively. With the data obtained in the study, it was revealed that the indigenous races in the area of Sanlıurfa and the cattle breeds have a common viral infection.
