43 years old female patient admitted to our clinic with icter, abdominal pain and darkness in urine. It was learned that she used a didrogesterone preparation for one month due to menstrual irregularity. Drug-induced toxic hepatitis was considered in the patient whose liver enzymes were increased and other etiological factors were excluded. Liver biopsy was performed and the biopsy was compatible with toxic hepatitis. The drug was discontinued and supportive treatment was initiated. At follow up liver enzymes regressed and patient discharged. Although didrogesterone is known to be a safe drug, drug-induced toxic hepatitis should be considered in cases of jaundice.
