Abstract:

Because of Covid-19, as in many parts of the world, students in our country continue their educational lives with the remote education system. During this period when distance education became an obligation, Eskişehir Osmangazi University has introduced the ESUZEM system to its students by re-designing its use. As students are asked to explore their opinions about remote learning and this system, the question of what could affect their satisfaction about remote learning and ESUZEM design has come to mind. In this context, the subject and methods are selected, and many studies on the satisfaction of distance learning in literature have been found in certain conclusions and aimed at filling the gap in literature. In order to create a structural equality model that examines students' satisfaction with the distance learning system and ESUZEM design, Eskişehir Osmangazi University, the Department of Industrial Engineering has aimed at applying a survey of 50 subjects to students. First, the survey data was obtained by simplifying the relevant factors with the detective factor analysis. With these achieved factors, hypotheses are created according to the purpose of the study based on the relevant literary scan. The analysis of the structural equality model created based on the established hypotheses and the relationship between the satisfaction of students about the remote education system and the factors affecting this satisfaction has been studied. This study concludes that ESUZEM system’s design and technical qualification is the most important factor affecting student satisfaction. Thus, this study revealed that if the quality of video and audio and the technological infrastructure are developed, the student satisfaction will significantly increase.
