Abstract:

Occupations are social communities which are important for the continuation of social life, but also for livelihood activities. The moral values ​​of the societies and the characteristics of the citizens are intertwined with the professional principles when people involve of individuals in their professional life. In this case, professional ethical principles are encountered in order to prevent possible contradictions in professional and personal values. The profession of police provides security services for the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms in democratic societies. Under the law, the police profession, which has the authority to use intervention and power, considering the maximum safety and freedom preferences of individuals at all times, it becomes a professional group that requires maximum attention in service delivery. In this study, the police organization that provides security service has been evaluated within the framework of ethical principles. Ethical and unethical behaviors towards policing activities have been determined. Before evaluating within the framework of ethical principles, the basic concepts of ethics and ethics have been emphasized. Polices protect the fundamental rights and freedoms and restrict the use of these rights within the framework of laws. It is important evaluation of the profession within the framework of ethical principles to avoid possible wrong interventions.
