21. yüzyılda teknolojinin gelişmesi ve sağlık sektöründe hastalıkların tedavisinin bulunması ya da hastanın yaşam kalitesini yükselterek hayatına devam etmesi şeklinde gelişmeler olmaktadır. Yaşam süresinin uzaması sevindirici bir durum olsa da kronik hastalıkların artış göstermesine zemin hazırlamıştır. Artan kronik hasta sayısı ve kronik hastalıkların tedavisinin uzun sürmesinden dolayı hastaların bakımına evlerde devam edilmektedir. Evde bakımın ön plana çıkması hasta yakınlarını hastalık sürecine dâhil etmiştir. Hasta yakınlarının hastalık sürecine dâhil olduklarında hastalarının yaşam kaliteleri yükselmektedir. Bu çalışmada, hasta yakınlarının süreci yönetmesini kolaylaştıracak ve hasta olan bireyin yaşam kalitesini yükseltecek konular araştırılıp hasta yakınlarının bu süreci nasıl değerlendirdiğine ulaşmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla Antalya, Burdur ve Isparta’da yaşayan 448 hasta yakınına ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak alanyazın çalışması yapılmış, alanında uzman hekimlerle ve kronik hasta yakınları ile görüşmeler yapılarak geliştirilen “Kronik Hastalığa Sahip Olan Bireylere Bakım Veren Hasta Yakınlarının Hastalık Süreci Yönetimi” anketi oluşturulmuş ve kullanılmıştır. Anket formunda hasta yakınlarının hastalık sürecindeki deneyimlerini paylaşabilecekleri bir tane açık uçlu soruya yer verilmiştir. Bu ankette “sosyo-psikolojik destek”, “tedavi sürecini takip”, “aile ilişkileri”, “fizyolojik destek” ve “destekleyici girişimler” boyutlarını ölçen 40 ifade bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın sonucunda, kadın hasta yakınlarının erkeklere göre hastalarına psikolojik ve fizyolojik destek verme davranışlarını önemsediklerine ulaşılırken destekleyici girişimler davranışlarını erkek hasta yakınlarının kadınlara göre daha fazla yaptıklarına ulaşılmıştır. Hasta yakınlarının gelir ve eğitim seviyesi arttıkça hastalık sürecinde psikolojik destek ve tedavi sürecini takip hususlarına daha fazla dikkat ettikleri tespit edilmiştir. Hasta yakınlarının cinsiyeti, medeni durumu, yaş grubu, gelir durumu, eğitim durumu, hastaya tek başına bakım vermesi, evde bakım hizmetinden yararlanması, hastaya yakınlık derecesi ve hastanın hastalığı şeklinde sıralanan sosyo-demografik değişkenlerinin hastalık süreç yönetimini etkilediğine ulaşılmıştır.
In the 21st century, there are developments in the form of the development of technology and the discovery of the treatment of diseases in the health sector or the continuation of the patient's life by increasing the quality of life. Although the prolongation of life expectancy is a pleasing situation, it has paved the way for an increase in chronic diseases. Due to the increasing number of chronic patients and the long duration of the treatment of chronic diseases, the care of the patients is continued at home. The prominence of home care has included the relatives of the patients in the disease process. When relatives of patients are involved in the disease process, their patients' quality of life increases. In this study, subjects that will facilitate the management of the process by the relatives of the patients and increase the quality of life of the sick individual were investigated; It is aimed to reach how the relatives of the patients evaluate this process. For this purpose, 448 patient relatives living in Antalya, Burdur and Isparta were reached. In the research, a literature study was conducted as a data collection tool, and the “Illness Process Management of Relatives of Patients Caring for Individuals with Chronic Diseases” questionnaire, which was developed by interviewing specialist physicians and relatives of chronic patients, was created and used. In the questionnaire form, one open-ended question was included in which the relatives of the patients could share their experiences during the disease process. In this questionnaire, there are 40 statements measuring the dimensions of "socio-psychological support", "following the treatment process", "family relations", "physiological support" and "supportive interventions". As a result of this study, it was found that female patients' relatives gave importance to their psychological and physiological support behaviors to their patients compared to men; It was found that male patients' relatives performed supportive intervention behaviors more than females. It has been determined that as the income and education level of the relatives of the patients increase, they pay more attention to psychological support and follow-up of the treatment process during the disease process. Relatives of patients; It has been found that socio-demographic variables such as gender, marital status, age group, income status, education level, caring for the patient alone, benefiting from home care services, degree of closeness to the patient and the patient's disease affect the disease process management.
