Abstract:

Today, the Turks, which are spread to a very wide geography, have brought their traditions, cultures and beliefs to these new geographies, and have managed to preserve their ancient beliefs with very small changes. Each nation has its own cultural codes. These codes reveal the differences between the nation to which they belong and the other nations. At the beginning of the cultural codes that distinguish Turks from other nations, the ancestral culture and accordingly the wolf (bozkurt) culture comes. Fathers culture and wolf (bozkurt) culture have a very important place in the Turkish system of faith. Sometimes the ancestors mixed the wolf (bozkurt) culture with the culture and united in the same root. Before Islam, the important motivation after his hero in Turkish histories such as Son Kağan, Türeyiş, Ergenekon, Bozkurt is "bozkurt". The wolf culture from the same root with the ancestors culture lives lively in today's Anatolian geography. In this study will be studied the origins of the wolf and ancestors cult based on the previous centuries and the wolf and ancestors cult formed around the Kurt Dede Turbesi located in Safranbolu.
