In the textile and costume industry, the quality of the product and the reliability of the production processes are of great importance. The error type and impact analysis (HTEA) method ensures that the quality standard and customer satisfaction levels of the application result in the enterprises are increased. HTEA analyses production processes and assesses risks in order to prevent failures and errors. In this study, a manufacturer in the clothing industry used the HTEA method in the sample approval process stage. The HTEA application has been used by error tree analysis to determine the complexity of error in the system. Proof approvals have been done with the aim of improving quality and customer satisfaction. As a result of the analysis, the errors that lead to the most time loss during the sample approval process were ranged from big to small according to the risk priority indicator (ROP) values. The errors with the greatest RÖG value have been found to be due to the lack of technical knowledge of employees as customer representatives, the weakness of teamwork between departments and the lack of information flow. According to the results obtained, various improvement work has been carried out in the company. Of the 13 errors, 12 of the RÖG values are lowered to 40.
