Organ nakline yönelik bilgi sorularında, dönem VI öğrencileri (17,98±3,32) dönem I öğrencilerinden (13,61±3,65) daha başarılı bulunmuştur (p<0,001). Dönem VI öğrencileri (5,19±1,52) organ bağışına yönelik davranışsal niyet bakımından dönem I öğrencilerinden (4,46±1,71) daha yüksek puan almıştır (p=0,019).
Information and training on the importance of organ donation and organ transplant is being carried out through all kinds of communication channels in our country, however, it is observed that the behavioral development of the society in this regard is limited. The aim of this study is to study the knowledge and attitudes of the students of the Faculty of Medicine on organ donation and to investigate the impact of the approach to becoming a doctor on these attitudes and behaviors. According to this, the data were obtained by applying the survey and attitude scale to 82 semester I and 45 semester VI students who were registered in the Düzce University Medical School in the 2013-2014 Education-Teaching year and accepted to participate in the research. In information questions on organ transfusion, semester VI students (17,98±3,32) were more successful than semester I students (13,61±3,65) (p<0,001). Period VI students (5,19±1,52) received higher scores than Period I students (4,46±1,71) in terms of behavioral intention towards organ donation (p=0,019). The knowledge and attitudes of medical faculty students on organ donation are generally higher in semester VI students, and as they approach to becoming a doctor, both the level of knowledge of students increases and their attitudes change in a positive direction.
