Determination of fungal wilt pathogens in cotton fields of Hatay Reyhanli county, susceptibilities of commonly grown cotton cultivars to these pathogens and the effects of plant resistance inducing products on disease occurrence were investigated in this study. To obtain fungal isolates, 54 cotton fields in 15 villages were sampled and standart mycological isolations were done from these samples in 2014. Cultivar reaction tests were conducted on 10 different cotton cultivars against one isolates of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. vasinfectum and Verticillium dahliae. Efficacy of plant resistance inducing products (Aliette WG, Bion MX 44 WG, ISR-2000 and salicyclic acid) were tested on Flash cotton cultivar in greenhouse conditions. The average isolation frequency of F. oxy. f.sp. vasinfectum and V. dahliae were 20.6% and 4.0% from Reyhanli cotton areas respectively. Of the tested cultivars BA525 was found to be tolerant to F. oxy. f.sp. vasinfectum while cultivar Flash was highly susceptibility with 6.9% and 44.8% disease severity respectively. On the other hand, Carmen and Candia were determined as the least susceptible but PG2018 as the most susceptible cultivars to V. dahliae (with 10.7, 10.9 and 45.0 % percentages respectively) in greenhouse conditions. Plant resistance inducing products had no effect on mycelial growth of both pathogens on PDA media in in vitro studies but they decreased Fusarium and Verticillium wilts with 20.0-66.3 % efficacy rates in greenhouse conditions. While salicyclic acid was the most successful chemical for both disease, ISR-2000 followed it by around 50 % efficacies.
