ESKİ TÜRKÇEDEN ÇAĞDAŞ TÜRK LEHÇELERİNE KADAR VEBA HASTALIĞI İLE İLGİLİ SÖZ VARLIĞI Aysun DEMİREZ GÜNERİ ÖZET: Bir dilde söz varlığına dâhil olan yeni kelimeler o günün ihtiyaçları içinde üretilir, kullanılır. Günümüzde Türkçede yer alan Covid 19 ya da diğer adıyla Corona ile ilgili bulaş~bulaşı, entübe hasta, sürü bağışıklığı vb. kavramların sıkça kullanılması gibi geçmişte veba hastalığıyla ilgili kelimeler de söz varlığımızda yer almıştır. Veba hastalığı tarihte sıklıkla görülmüş hem coğrafyayı hem siyasi tarihi etkilemiş yaşanan değişimler söz varlığına da tesir etmiştir. Bu çalışmada Eski Türkçeden günümüz Türk lehçelerine kadar veba ile ilgili söz varlığı ele alınmış ayrıca Orhun Abidelerinde geçen ölet~ölüt~ ület kavramı üzerinde durulmuştur.
