Çocuk edebiyatı, erken yaşlardan başlayarak çocukların okuma kültürü edinmelerinde kilit bir role sahip olan dil, anlatım ve içerik bakımından çocuklara yönelik hazırlanmış edebiyat ürünlerinin tamamını içeren bir kavramdır. Özellikle ilkokul çağındaki çocukların edebiyat ürünleri ile tanıştırılması sürecinde önemli bir görev üstlenen sınıf öğretmenlerinin çocuk edebiyatına yönelik imgelerinin temellerinin, lisans düzeyinde çocuk edebiyatı ile karşılaştıkları süreçte atıldığı düşünülmektedir. Bu doğrultuda gerçekleştirilen çalışmada sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının ilkokulda çocuk edebiyatına yönelik metaforlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nitel araştırma metotlarından fenomenoloji ile geçekleştirilen bu araştırma, 51 öğretmen adayının katılımı ile yapılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan içeriğinde sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının sınıf düzeyi ve cinsiyet bilgileri ile birlikte “ilkokulda çocuk edebiyatı…gibidir çünkü…”, “ilkokulda çocuk şiirleri…gibidir çünkü…” ve “ilkokulda çocuk hikâye kitapları…gibidir çünkü…” ifadelerinin yer aldığı bir form kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler, içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının ilkokul çocuk edebiyatı kavramına yönelik ürettikleri metaforlar 3, ilkokul çocuk şiirine yönelik ürettikleri metaforlar 3 ve ilkokul hikâye kitaplarına yönelik ürettikleri metaforlar 5 ana tema olarak belirlenmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının her kavram kapsamında ürettikleri metaforlar çerçevesinde oluşturulan temaların, ilkokulda çocuk edebiyatı, çocuk şiirleri ve hikâye kitapları kavramlarının farklı niteliklerini vurguladığı görülmüştür. Araştırma sonucunda sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının çocuk edebiyatı ürünlerine yönelik farkındalıklarının artırılması ve bu ürünlerin tüm derslerde temel araç olarak kullanılması önerilmiştir.
Children's literature, which has a key role in children's acquisition of reading culture starting from an early age; It is a concept that includes all of the literary products prepared for children in terms of language, expression and content. It is thought that the foundations of the images of the primary school teachers, who play an important role in the process of introducing children to literature products, especially in the process of introducing children's literature to children's literature, were laid in the process when they encountered children's literature at the undergraduate level. In this study, it was aimed to determine the metaphors of primary school teacher candidates about children's literature in primary school. This research, which was carried out with phenomenology, one of the qualitative research methods, was carried out with the participation of 51 teacher candidates. As a data collection tool, it is like “children's literature in primary school…. because…”, “it is like children's poems in primary school…; because…” and “children's storybooks in primary school… are like; because…” statements were used. The data obtained from the research were subjected to content analysis. The data obtained from the research were subjected to content analysis. As a result of the research, the metaphors produced by the pre-service teachers for the concept of primary school children's literature 4, the metaphors they produced for primary school children's poetry 3, and the metaphors they produced for primary school storybooks were determined as 5 main themes. It was seen that the themes created within the framework of the metaphors produced by the pre-service teachers within the scope of each concept emphasized the different qualities of the concepts of children's literature, children's poems and story books in primary school. As a result of the research, it was suggested to increase the awareness of primary school teacher candidates about children's literature products and to use these products as a basic tool in all lessons.
