Letter of confirmation is regulated under Art. 21/3 of Turkish Commercial Code. According to this, letter of confirmation is a written document, which includes arrival needed expression and is sent from one-party to another by telephone, telegraph, any communication or information tool or any other technical appliance or verbal concluded contracts and with the aim of confirming content of made declarations. Unless receiver of this letter takes objection to the letter or its content within eight days since its arrival, it is sustained that a contract will be concluded according to the letter’s content. A letter differing from essential points of previously concluded contracts’ is a new offer. In contrast, another party does not take an objection to a letter, which is sent with the aim of getting over to concluded contracts’ not-essential points, will be sustained as accepted this content.
