Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to determine the levels of knowledge and use of the new approaches, methods and techniques in the teaching of sciences and to study the relationship between them. This research is a quantitative study in which the method of relative scanning is used from non-experimental patterns and has been conducted with a total of 200 teachers of science working in the central districts of Erzurum. As a data collection tool in the teaching of science, the Maslach Sustainability Reserve-Educative Form has been used with the New Approach, Methods and Techniques Knowledge and Use Scale. The relationship between the level of knowledge and use of the new approach, methods and techniques of the teachers of science has been sought to be revealed with the visual statistics in which they know and use the new methods and techniques. In addition, the extinction levels in the subdimensions of the Maslach Extinction Reserve-Educative Form and the teachers of sciences of emotional extinction, insensitivity and personal success have been studied and the new approaches, methods and techniques have been tried to determine the relationship between the levels of knowledge and use and these subdimensions. The research finds that the teachers of science know and use the new approaches, methods and techniques at the middle level, and that there is a meaningful and positive relationship between the level of knowledge and use of the new approaches, methods and techniques. Scientific teachers have been found to have a high level of exhaustion in the lower dimensions of emotional exhaustion, insensitivity and personal success, but teachers have not found any meaningful relationship between the levels of knowledge and use of new approaches, methods and techniques and their exhaustion.
