Purpose: The aim of this Student Garaduate Project of Faculty of Health Sciences; Department of Occupational Therapy is to investigate the efficiency of sensory integration therapy on sensory modulation and neuromotor performance of children with learning disorders. Materials and Method: 20 children diagnosed with learning disorder were randomly seperated into two groups (Therapy Group: 10; Control Group:10). Therapy group had sensory integration therapy and special education twice a week while control group had only special education for 2 months span. Sensory modulation was assesed by Sensory Profile while neuromotor performance was assesed by Clinical Observation of Neuromotor Performance Checklist. Groups were retested after 2 months and the results were compared. Results: Avarage age of therapy group was 8.8±2.31 year while 8.3±2.51 years in control group. Mean scores for sensory proceesing, sensory modulation, emotional-behavioural reactions, postural problems, prone extansion span, bilateral integration and sequency and the total score were statistically changed in therapy group (p≤0.05). conclusion: Although this study demonstrated sensory intergration therapy can help reducing sensory processing problems and can effect prone extansion span positively in children with learning disorders still further comprehensive studies must be planned
