Çalışmanın konusu asırlık bir birikimin temsilcisi olan âşıkların şiirlerinde geçen kuş motiflerini belirlemek ve bu kuşların hangi özellikleri ile birlikte ele alındığını yorumlamak olmuştur. Türk kültürünün ortak kültür miraslarından olan âşık şiiri üzerinden kültüre ait unsurların izini sürmek mümkündür. Toplumun bir parçası olan ve toplumdan beslenen âşıklar toplumun maddi ve manevi unsurlarını şiirlerine taşımıştır. Bu maddi unsurlardan biri olan hayvanların da insanların zihninde edindiği manalar bütün dünya ülkelerinde ortak ve çeşitli şekillerde kendine yer edinmiş, bu sembolik anlamsal zenginlik Türk âşık şiirinde de son derece mühim bir karşılık bulmuştur. Bu unsurlardan biri olan kuş motifleri de âşıklar tarafından yoğun şekilde kullanılmış, kuşlar fiziksel ve manevi özellikleriyle birlikte değerlendirilerek ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada turna, Anka, karga ve şahin motifi temel alınmış ve bu motifler şiirlerle desteklenerek alt başlıklar halinde incelenmiştir. Konunun kapsamı çok geniş olduğundan burada belli âşıklara yer verilmiş ve bu âşıkların şiirlerinde geçen kuş isimleri taranmıştır. Elde edilen bilgiler ışığında kuş motifinin maddi hayattaki ve mitsel manadaki karşılığı şiirler üzerinde yapılan tespitlerle beraber verilmeye çalışılmıştır.
The subject of the study is to determine the bird motifs in the poems of the minstrels, who are the representatives of a century-old accumulation, and to interpret the characteristics of these birds. It is possible to trace cultural elements through the Minstrel tradition, which is one of the common cultural heritages of Turkish culture. The minstrels, who are a part of the society and fed by the society, carried the material and spiritual elements of the society into their poems. The meanings that animals, which are one of these material elements, acquired in the minds of people, have taken a place in all countries of the world in common and various ways, and this symbolic semantic richness has found an extremely important response in Turkish minstrel poetry. Bird motifs, one of these elements, were also used extensively by the lovers, and birds were evaluated together with their physical and spiritual characteristics. In the study, crane, phoenix, crow and hawk motifs were taken as the basis and these motifs were examined in sub-titles supported by poems. Since the scope of the subject is very wide, certain minstrels are included here and the names of the birds in the poems of these minstrels are scanned. In the light of the information obtained, the equivalent of the bird motif in material life and mythical meaning has been tried to be given together with the determinations made on the poems.
