Abstract:

This study examined the relationship between the personality characteristics of the five factors of the school managers and the managerial strengths. In the framework of the study used by the Relational Scanning Model, data were collected from 191 school managers identified by the unproportionate element sampling method from the school managers working in the districts of Elazığ. In the process of data collection, the on-middle personality scale and the administrative strength scale were used. Imaginary statistics have been used for the analysis of data. At the end of the study, it was revealed that school managers’ managerial strengths were on a medium level. School managers have stated that they have the most task-oriented and responsibility personality characteristics. In the end, the study found that there was a positive and meaningful relationship between the management strength and dimensions and the characteristic of experience openness, and that the characteristics of externality, soft headline and emotional balance have no relationship with the characteristics of personality and the characteristics of management strength. Moreover, it has been revealed that determined and task-oriented managers are more responsible. BFK features together give a low-level and meaningful relationship to the management strengths of school managers. At the end of the study, it was found that only the characteristic of experience openness is a meaningful contributor to the managerial strength, while the other characteristics of personality have no meaningful impact on the managerial strength. At the end of the study, the results of the study showed a number of recommendations.
