PFAPA is a syndrome with unknown etiology which is cha- racterized by periodic fever episodes, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and cervical adenitis. Although it is rare, its incidence is thought to be higher than it is reported. In this paper four children with PFAPA syndrome who have recei- ved antibiotherapies many times but responded only oral corticosteroid therapies dramatically were presented beca- use of recurring fever attacks accompanied by upper respi- ratory tract infection for six months-one year. PFAPA syndrome should be considered in children who presented with recurrent fever in addition to antibiotic and antipyre- tic- resistant tonsillitis
