A nation’s development and progress depend upon the overall health of the individuals it comprise of. There are certain ways to ensure public health is a society. One the contributing technique is to incorporate physical education and sports into the education system. Therefore this research intends to explore the state of physical education into the education system of Pakistan. The issues, problems and possible solutions were explored by adopting a mixed method approach. The integration of both quantitative (survey) and qualitative (interview) a deep insight was reached out into the issue of grave concern. A sample size of 100 respondents (university students) participated in survey. Moreover interview was designed to get in-depth stance of physical education experts, teacher and faculty members about the prevailing condition of the physical education in Pakistan’s overall education system. The findings of the both methods produced unanimous results. The study concluded in indicating certain issues in the education system towards physical education. These problems serve as barrier towards adoption of physical education courses by most of the students. Lack of awareness, funds and proper facilities adds the deprived physical education in the country. With proper government attention and incorporation physical education courses into basic levels of education system can improve the condition with greater effectiveness. Moreover ending the existing bias against physical education in the overall education sector can also be helpful.
