The Girit Island, where has an important place because of its geographical and strategic position, became a struggle arena of countries which wanted to both take under the control of the Mediterranean trading and outmaneuver in the East Mediterranean. The Island had occupied by Venice in 1204 and in after periods it had been an important role between Ottoman and Venice states . During the period of Fatih, Kanunî, and II. Selim, the Ottoman State had organized many expeditions to the Girit Island where had been used as a military base by other countries against to the Ottomans. However, in order to conquer the Girit the main struggle started in 1645 with the conquering Hanya and the warfare continued over quarter century. It became possible to establish Ottoman sovereignty in Girit in 1669 with the conquering of Kaniye by grand vizier Köprülü Fazıl Ahmet Pasha. The Ottoman - Venice struggle that continued 25 years had been the subject of so many works such as Fetihnâme - Gazanâme. One of these Fetihnames is a manuscript named "Tarih-i Sefer ve Feth-i Kandiye" by Zayıf Mustafa bin Musa who joined the war as an janissary and is located in manuscripts bookshelf in Kütahya Vahidpasha Library. Even though this manuscript has very important details related to conquering of the Girit, it have not been used by researchers studying on the conquering of Girit. In this article, it is aimed to introduce the manuscript named “Tarih-i Sefer and Fethi Kandiye” and to represent the conquering of Kandiye by depending this manuscript
