Poll-Tax account books (Jizya Inventory) are the main sources for the investigation of the Ottoman history. These sources are very important as they are functioning like a bridge, conveying the past into present. In examining the Ottoman history, Jizya Inventories are of great importance as these documents contain aspects relating to the people, places and time. This study focuses on introduction and evaluation of 1691 Jizya book relevant to Eğil, Çüngüş, Siird, Çermik, Savur, Tercil, Hasankeyf, Çapakçur, Hani, Siverek, Atak, Kulb, Ciska districts and Mihrani sanjak of Diyarbekir province. The book contains information about the neighborhoods and villagers where non-Muslim population lived and the names, father names, income status, occupations and physical characteristics of the non-Muslims living there. In this context, the information in the book has been examined carefully and some socio-economic and demographic dynamics of the mentioned districts were questioned and some determinations were made
