Generally, biological diversity (biodiversity) means the diversity of species in an area. Greater numbers of animal and plant species mean the richness of biological diversity on a particular plot of land. Conservation of biological diversity is very important for mankind. Subjects like natural balance, food resources, industry and economy are directly related to biological diversity. As a result, extinction of species means extinction of mankind in the future. There are many factors which threaten biological diversity. Biological diversity is conserved by some conservation methods like protection areas, figthing with invasive species, biosecurity works and protection of genes. Since conservation is related to public, this points to the term public interest. The public interest, which is in the conservation of biological diversity, shall be clear and shall be understood independently
