Amaç: Bu araştırmada ebeveynlerin cinsel eğitimde kullandıkları iletişim dilini belirlemeye yönelik bir ölçek geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmada üç farklı çalışma grubundan veriler toplanmıştır. Birinci çalışma grubundan (N=100) elde edilen verilerle ölçülmesi amaçlanan yapının kuramsal temellerinin açıklanması amaçlanmış, ikinci çalışma grubundan (N=178) elde edilen verilerle ölçeğin yapısına ilişkin Açımlayıcı ve Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi sonuçları incelenmiş üçüncü çalışma grubundan (N=186) elde edilen verilerle yapının doğrulanıp doğrulanmadığı Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analiziyle incelenmiştir. Bulgular: Analiz sonuçlarına dayalı olarak 23 maddeden oluşan ölçeğin dört faktörlü bileşenli bir yapı sergilediğine karar verilmiştir. Ölçme aracının alt faktörlerinin iç tutarlılık katsayısı iki farklı örneklemde .70 ve .80 arasında değişmiştir. Faktörler arasında orta düzeyde ilişkiler olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara dayalı olarak annelerin ve babaların cinsel eğitimde kullandıkları iletişim dili bakımından ebeveynler arasında fark olmadığı yükseköğretim mezunlarının diğer öğrenim düzeyindeki ebeveynlere göre süreci yönetmede daha başarılı oldukları, yükseköğretim mezunlarının diğer öğrenim düzeyindeki ebeveynlere göre cinsel eğitimde daha kaygılı bir iletişim sergiledikleri belirlenmiştir.
Purpose: This study aims to develop a scale to determine the language of communication that parents use in sexual education. Tool and Method: The research has collected data from three different study groups. The objective of the theoretical foundations of the structure intended to be measured by the data obtained from the first study group (N=100), the data obtained from the second study group (N=178) and the scale structure result of the Determinative and Verifying Factor Analysis; the data obtained from the third study group (N=186) and the Verifying Factor Analysis that the structure is not verified. Results: Based on the results of the analysis, it was determined that the scale consisting of 23 items shows a four-factor component structure. The internal consistency ratio of the subfactors of the measurement instrument varied between .70 and .80 in two different samples. There is a middle-level relationship between the factors. Results: Based on the findings from the study, there is no difference between parents in the language of communication that mothers and fathers use in sexual education; high school graduates are more successful in process management than their parents at other levels of education; high school graduates are more concerned in sexual education than their parents at other levels of education.
Objectıves: This study aim to developed a scale to investigate parents’ sexual communication. Materıals and Methods: In this research data were collected from three different sample group. It was aimed to explain the theoretical structure with the data obtained in the first group; exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to the data gathered from the second group (N=178); confirmatory factor analysis was examined to the data gathered from the third group (N=186). Results: As a result of the explaratory and confirmatory factor analysis, it was decided that scale included 23 items and 4 sub-dimensions. The factors of the scale internal consistency coefficient was changed between 0,70 and 0,80. The relationship between scale factors demonstrated a meaningful and positive connection. Conclusion: It was concluded that the scale can provide valid and reliable evidence for sexual communication; there was no differences between mothers and fathers sexual communication; parents who was higher education degree was successful in managing the process; parents who was higher education degree was more anxious communication language.
