Religion and religious rituals have never fallen out of the agenda of political life because of their power to bring people together, they have been transformed and reinterpreted according to the structure of political power. The study, which will evaluate the ruling power group in Turkey and the Alevi-Kızılbaş communities and their rituals in such a context, will try to show how the effects of these communities are seen today, the ignorance of the religiousity and how their religious objects are made possible to connect to the secular cultural folklore area. The foundations will be shown that the process of inclusion to the non-religious area set in the early Republic period provides two important opening for the newly established Turkish nation-state. The study, which will be created by the realization of the text analysis of the works of Ziya Gökalp and Fuad Bridge, will claim that one of these openings will ensure the homogenization of the religious sphere of the Turkish society, and the other is the construction of a non-religious secular cultural sphere for the Turkish state. The ignorance of the religious qualities of Alevi-Kızılbaş communities will show that the Ehl-i Sünnet mosque can be raised to a single position in the religious field of the Turkish society and will be shown to support the claim that the newly established Turkish state is a secular cultural field in history thanks to these communities pushed into the non-religious folklore field. In the framework of the study, in the first part, the facts behind the political preferences the nationalist elites make in building a national religion will be highlighted. In the last section, the focus will be on how the Alevi-Kızılbaş communities are pushed into the non-religious area during the construction and institutionalization of the national Turkish state and what the consequences of this are revealed.
