Abstract:

Condil fractures are often seen in maxillophasial fractures. Untreated or incorrectly treated cord breaks can lead to serious consequences. Treatment of condom breakdowns has always been a controversial topic due to many important vital structures that are neighboring to the anatomy of the area. Many different methods have been in the classification and treatment of these fractures. The main methods used today in the treatment of condom breakdowns can be gathered into two main groups, such as closed reduction and open reduction. Closed reduction therapy has been the first choice in the treatment of long-term condom rupture. Thanks to the developments in osteosensitive materials, open reduction therapy is becoming increasingly popular. In the treatment of condom breakdowns, the best treatment method should be preferred, taking into account the condition of broken fragments, the age of the patient and the clinical symptoms. In this article, the current and different methods of treatment in the classification and treatment of condomal fractures have been evaluated and reviewed.
